I love reading books, I'm not great at it because sometimes reading one book takes me five months but I love it anyway. And there are some books that I love in particular and that I would like to recommend you. I decided to start with my favourite book ever. It's "The Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks.
The book is about a girl called Ronnie whose parents are divorced. Ronnie's father lives far away from New York where she lives with her mother and younger brother. Three years after the divorce her parents decide that she and her brother should spend the summer with their father, who lives by himself in a house by the beach somewhere in North Carolina. Ronnie's brother, Jonah is very happy about spending the summer by the beach with his father, Ronnie though... not so much. The book tells a story about different kinds of love: the first love and the love between father and children.
I've read Nicholas Sparks' books before and I've always enjoyed them but this one is surely my favourite one. I don't want to give you spoilers if you haven't read it yet but I cried, I cried a lot. The story is beautifully written, it is seriously addictive and heart-breaking.
If you want to, you can also see a movie (which was not made on the basis of the book, it was actually the other way around) with the exact same title but I have to warn you, the book is so much better! I've seen the movie couple of times actually and every time I felt kind of disappointed. I'm not saying the movie is bad, it is great but I advise you to read the book first.
