There's been a lot of hype surrounding the whole concept of micellar water lately so I decided to give it a go. I've chosen the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Purifying Micellar Water after reading lots of good reviews.
On the producer's website we can read that the micellar water is a "high performance cleanser for sensitive skin" and that it "removes all traces of make-up and acts like a purifying magnet on skin's surface to capture and draw out excess oil and impurities." The micellar water is also alcohol-free, hypoallergenic and has no scent.
After using it for two weeks now I can say that it removes all my make-up very well although when I have heavy eye make-up it takes a little bit more time. It's very sensitive for the skin and after using it I can feel that my skin is clean, I feel like it breathes. It's moisturising and leaves no greasy residue, which makes me a very happy person because I have an oily skin. The only thing I don't like about this product is dozing it as I spill too much on a cleansing pad every time I use it.
Unfortunately I have nothing to compare this micellar water to as this is the first this kind of product I have ever used but I am really happy with it and I don't think I will try another micellar water any time soon.
Have you tried L'Oreal micellar water? What do you think?
I bought it some time ago but had no chance to use it, but reading this review I'm glad I have it! xx

Nope, I've tried and actually still using Bioderma one. I totally love it, but like you said, when it comes to heave eye make-up, I'm using two phase eye makeup remover, since I have very sensitive eyes and I don't wanna rub them more than it's necessary.
ReplyDeleteI really want to try this!

I've been using this bad boy for about a month now and oh my, I love it so much. I only use it on my eyes though, because that tends to be waterproof, or if I'm wearing a bright lipstick. I love how it doesn't tighten the skin, because I find many eye make up removers tend to do that. Do you use anything else after removing your make up with this?

I actually use something before, I first clean my face with Garnier cleansing gel and then remove the eye make up and clean my whole face with the L'Oreal micellar water :)
