I watch TV series... a lot. I don't even want to count how many hours, days, weeks or even months of my life I have spent watching TV series. But what can I do? I just love them! And that's why I decided to show you my ten favourite TV series of all time, in no particular order (almost). And I apologize for fangirling too much sometimes.
Okay, I know I said "in no particular order" but I also said "almost". Supernatural is on the first place because it actually is my favourite TV series ever. I stared watching it last year in September and I literally watched 7 seasons in 1,5 month. That's how amazing it is! If you don't know what Supernatural is it's a story about two brothers who hunt demons, monsters, ghosts on so on. Sounds scary? It is, sometimes but most of the time it's just funny. And touching, oh yes, it's really touching. I never cry on movies or TV series but I have to admit that Winchester brothers almost made me cry couple of times.
I decided to put Teen Wolf on this list as I really love it lately. As you've probably already figured it out it is about a teen boy who becomes a werewolf. It's also quite scary sometimes (well, scary for me as I've watched two horror movies in my life, if you count Twilight as a horror movie) but just as Supernatural it mostly is funny. To be honest, I'm just watching this show for Stiles, teen wolf's best friend aka the most awkward person in the world.
I have no idea how this happened but here comes another scary TV series. Of course, when a little bit of blood is scary for you. This time, no hunters, no wolfs but vampires. There are plenty of movies and TV series about vampires but this one is the story I like the most. Probably because of actors playing lead characters. Yes, I'm talking about Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder. And Steven R. McQueen. And... OK, I'm gonna stop here. Oh and in case you're wondering, I'm Team Stefan!
Baby Daddy, I can rave about this TV series enough. It's the funnies TV series I have ever watched (and it's not scary!). It's about a guy in his twenties who one day gets a surprise - a baby at his doorstep left by his ex-girlfriend. He decided to raise the baby with his brother and his best friend. Just imagine how funny must three guys with a baby be. And there's also a girl, Riley and a mother, Bonnie so there's a lot going on, in every single episode!
I just had to add Friends to this list because, who doesn't love Friends? We all know Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, Monica, Joey and Chandler, who also is my favourite character. I think sometimes I actually am Chandler, except the fact that he's funny and I'm not. And he has friends, well. Anyway, I'm really sorry about it but I haven't watched every single Friends episode. I feel so ashamed right now! Good that I have lots of free time in August so I can catch up!
I feel very sentimental about One Tree Hill as I started watching it as a child and finished as a grown up. Yes, this TV series is pretty long as it had nine seasons with every season including about 22 episodes. That's a lot to watch! And I can proudly say that I watch every single episode! One Tree Hill is about a group of friends who get to know each other in high school and then live together in a small town named just as the series. I just couldn't skip this one on this list as I feel like I've grown up with Haley, Lucas, Peyton, Nathan and Brooke.
I think I need to mention that Glee is my second favourite TV series ever. It was my favourite one until September last year, sorry Glee! It's about teenagers who sing in a high school choir called Glee Club. What's so special about it is that it is actually a musical and well, I'm a sucker for musicals. Another thing I love about it is that it raises very sensitive and very important matters and it really likes to cross boundaries. If you don't already watch Glee, just do it! It really is amazing!
Yes, it's about the British BBC Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch aka the shortest TV series I have ever watched. Fortunately it is not over yet and it makes me hurt to even write such a thing. By "the shortest" I mean it only has six episodes, three in every of two seasons. To everybody's relief, one episode is 1,5 hour long so the whole TV series feel like six movies, pretty awesome, huh? As you can imagine, Sherlock is about a man who sees everything and investigates complicated cases, and he does it well. He also has a helper names Dr Watson. And it all happens in London so I just can't wait for the next season to come out so I can watch it and scream "I was there!" every time they show some place in London where I've actually been.
Next on the list is The OC which was my first ever favourite TV series. I started watching it when I was a child, just like One Tree Hill but unfortunately this one finished after four seasons. Such a shame, because it was really awesome, amazing and brilliant. I think because of this series Adam Brody was my first ever celebrity crush. I still have posters with his face hung inside my wardrobe. If you don't know what I'm writing about The OC shows a story of Ryan, a troubled teenager who is adopted by a wealthy family. It's a story about growing up in different environment and also about love, family bonds and friendship. I think I'm definitely gonna re-watch the whole series very very soon.
Last but not least, Skins, another British series. It follows the lives of a group of teenagers in a city called Bristol. I think it's very controversial as it raises matters such as eating disorder, family issues, sexuality or drugs. The whole series tells stories about three generations, which I think is a very good and very bad idea. The characters change every two seasons so you get new characters very often which is good but I really attache to such characters so saying goodbye to my favourite ones three times weren't the best things I had to go through. In conclusion, it is a very interesting and a-lot-going-on TV series and I really recommend it to anyone!
So that's it, that's my "10 favourite TV series" list, I hope I didn't bore you with these. Do you watch any of these TV series?
Oh god, I love and watch almost all of those. I must admit I haven't watched Supernatural yet, only a few episodes and a lot of youtube movies as I was made by my sister buy it sounds really awesome so I just might watch it very soon! xx

Ah, One Tree Hill, so sentimental. I still remember watching like 5 episodes a day from 1st series only to catch up with the 2nd season which was aired on tv back then.
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't believe that today's the last episode of Skins EVER. I don't know how I'm gonna deal with this.
I just had surgery two months ago, and I discovered Baby Daddy while recovering. I absolutely LOVE it and glad to see that others do too! :)

Friends and Glee are my two faves! Friends because...well...I basically pee from laughing every time I watch that show, haha. And Glee season 1 was super addictive; as the seasons have gone on I've liked it less and less (however I still religiously watch it), and now with Cory gone i don't know if I'll be able to watch. :( ..kind of was invested in Finchel a little too much. I'm also a sucker for musicals as well though, and it definitely keeps me hooked!
