MY THOUGHTS ON: URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTE + EYESHADOW PRIMER POTION

Since I started being more into make up and beauty, I've wanted to have one of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes. About three weeks ago I spotted the Naked Palette on offer and I just couldn't resist any longer. Now I'm a happy user of this amazing product. No wonder there's so much hype surrounding it, it truly is a miracle eyeshadow palette! It is packed with twelve neutral shadows. Some of them are matte like Buck or Naked and some are shimmery like Sidecar or Creep. The palette also includes the Good Karma Eyeshadow Brush, which I'd say is not bad but I'd rather use my good old brushes.
My favourite shadow is definitely Darkhorse as I've used it to create every brown smokey eye I've done so far. It is a beautiful chocolate brown shade with a little shimmer. I've also been using Virgin a lot. Virgin is a pearl shade perfect for highlighting. I usually apply it in the inner corners of my eyes. I've also been loving using Hustle, the metallic purple one along with Toasted. I think they look amazing together.

As for the wear, these eyeshadows do stay in place for a long time. They are very easy to apply and to combine with each other. Every single one is very pigmented. I think these are the best quality eyeshadows I own.

The palette comes also with the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Unfortunately I was really disappointed with this product. Maybe my expectations towards it were too high or maybe this is a really low quality eyeshadow primer. When I used it for the first time, the eyeshadow creased after about three hours. It was also the first time I've used the Naked Palette, so imagine how devastated I was. The next day I decided to try using my Paese primer (Paese is a polish, low-end brand but their eyeshadow primer is amazing) and I could go back to being happy, it didn't crease! But of course, I really wanted the Primer Potion to work, mostly because of the packaging which is just magical, and I used it again the following week, on a colder day. But it creased again. And now it just lies somewhere between my other cosmetics waiting for the winter to be used again.

Except for the primer, this Urban Decay Naked Palette is the best thing that happened to my make up collection! I can't wait to get my hand on the Naked 2 Palette!

What do you think of this palette? Which shades are your favourite?

  8. I recently went to Tokyo with my boyfriend's sister, and she had one of these palettes- not sure which one- but I borrowed it every day, I absolutely loved them! They stayed put pretty well without a primer (I've never bothered to use one) and that was in the really muggy rainy season.

Def on my list of shizzle to buy
