I haven't done the "song of the week" post in a while as nothing really made me go "OMG" or "asdfghjkl". Until now. Have you already watched "The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones"? Well, I haven't, I have to wait couple more hours. But I read the book (which was amazing by the way) and listened to the soundtrack (which is also amazing by the way).
The one song that really got me is "Heart By Heart" by Demi Lovato. I love Demi and her latest album is brilliant but this song, it's genius! I fell in love with it when I first listened to it (thanks to my friend Natalia) and now I just keep pressing that YouTube "play" button over and over. It's that amazing!
I know it's only Monday today but I decided to show you my favourite songs of the week - a previous week. I've been playing these five songs on replay for past couple of days and I think I might be a little bit obsessed with them.
The first one is new Miley Cyrus song "We Can't Stop". There's been a lot of hype about this song recently, so if you still haven't listened to it, do it now! It's a perfect song for driving with your windows down on a hot summer day. There's something about this song that makes me feel like I'm in California having the time of my life. I have to admit, I was a litte bit scared of this song since Miley announced a change of music direction, but this is not the direction I was afraid of. This is the direction I was hoping for!
The second song of the week is "Let Her Go" by Passenger. I have to admit that the oryginal version wasn't the first one I listened to, it was The Vamps' cover. Another thing is that I haven't fallen for it instantly, I guess my brain had to take the time to process and when it finished I was all deeply and completely in love with it.
Next on the list is "Really Don't Care" by Demi Lovato and Cher Lloyd. When I heard that Demi and Cher were making a song together, I knew I was gonna love it. It is definitely my favourite song from Demi's new album (which would by the way be on my "albums of the year" list). This song is a perfect break-up song for singing with your best friend during a summer road trip.
Moving forward, next song is "I Won't Let You Go" by James Morrison. It's relatively old song comparing to these presented above but I only found out about it three days ago as I was driving with a friend. James' voice has always been one of my favourite male voices and I have no idea how come I've never came across this song. Slow ballads with emotionally powerful chorus are what I like the most so this song is exactly what my "favourite songs" list should include.
