TUMBLR INSPIRATIONS: HOME

For now I live in a rented flat with my sister and two other friends while going back to my hometown, where my parents live, for the weekends. But there have been some conversations about buying a new flat for me and my sister recently. This will definitely not happen this year but it made me start thinking about what I would like this new place to look like. And what's better for searching for inspirations than Tumblr? Nothing, I know.

I really want the apartment to be white and spacious, with big windows, necessarily. Wooden floors are also a must have for me. Tumblr made me realise I need a big desk for my workplace so I could a) be more organised and b) store my make up more easily because who knows how big my collection will be in a year. Another thing I need is big white bookcase. I'm already collecting books so I have "something" to place in that enormous bookcase. The last thing that MUST be in my future home is a SMEG refrigerator. Mint or pink, I don't care but it has to find its place in my kitchen one day.

TUMBLR INSPIRATIONS: BAGS

I'm in a desperate need of a new bag, preferably a big classic bag I could carry around anywhere. And of course, as always, I've been looking for an inspiration on the best website in the whole Internet world called Tumblr. If you don't know what Tumblr is (although I highly doubt that) it's the most addictive site you could ever imagine. I probably spend about 60% of my day there.

I've found some pretty amazing bags, most of them are incredibly expensive for me but at least now I know what I'm looking for. My favourite bag here is definitely the Givenchy Medium Antigona in shiny black leather. Of course a £1,185 bag isn't exactly what I need (or rather what I can afford) right now but I wouldn't mind it magically appearing in my room. The bag I'm also in love with is the Michael Kors Hamilton Satchel. It's made of black leather and gold metal details which make it look very special. I also really like the lock and the key thing going on there. I've always been loving classic satchels so I of course adore the Cambridge Satchel. It's perfect in this pastel mint shade!

So right after coming back home which is in less than 3 days I'm going to hit the shops and search for that perfect bag! Hopefully I'll find one! What do you think of these bags? Which one is your favourite?

TUMBLR INSPIRATIONS: WORKSPACE

Remember when I did a post about inspirations for decorating my bedroom? Since then, I haven't stop thinking about what I could change in my bedroom to make it look like the ones I've picked for that post. White, girly and pretty would be perfect for describing such bedrooms.

I decided to start with my workplace because as a blogger and tumblr addict this is where I spend the most time. If this goes on, I'm gonna have to install a fridge somewhere near but that's a whole nother story.

As I'm probably going to get a new room soon (by "soon" I mean in a year... or two) I've started looking around a little bit, just to know what I want. Looking at these pretty pictures I found in a magical (but very time consuming) place called tumblr I've noticed that I need three things to make my workspace look pretty: a white desk, Mac computer and flowers. Flowers are obviously the easiest to get and I assure you they will stand on my desk after I finish writing this post. As for the Mac computer, besides the fact that I don't need it at all right now as I get on with my Sony Vaio very well, it would be the hardest thing to get. But if enough money magically appeared on my bank account I would have to buy a big white desk first as for now, there's no place on my little wooden desk for such big computer. Other than these three most important things I'm also going to need some pale pink decorations like brush holder or a lamp. Also a pinboard or blackboard would also be a great idea and as I'm make-up obsessed I would need a lot of shelves and drawers to storage all of my make-up.

In a conclusion, to make my workspace look as pretty as these presented above I need: big white desk, a Mac computer, some colourful flowers, pastel decorations, pinboard and make-up storage. I'm of course not an expert when it comes to decorating interiors but fortunately my sister is, so I'm just gonna ask her for help.

Do you like your workspace? If not, what would you change in it?

THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU'RE BORED

It's holiday break which means I'm bored... a lot. I know I shouldn't be bored during summer but as I came home to spend it with my parents, I have nothing to do. Except running my blog of course.

Anyway, I've been thinking a lot about stuff one can do on their own when bored. And as one of these things is "make a list", I made a list.

1. Make a list. It can be a list of anything. Of things to do the following day, of post ideas if you run a blog, of books to read, of  films to watch or even your ultimate bucket list.
2. Bake some cupcakes or cookies. Your family will be thrilled!
3. Go for a run or if you don't want to leave the house, workout for 20 minutes. I swear, you'll feel better.
4. Organise your working space. I don't know about you, but my working space is always chaotic. Nail polishes are almost everywhere along with uncountable amount of bobby pins and pens.
5. Get lost in a book. Now, I am obsessed with Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan lately. The word "obsessed" might be a little bit of an understatement. Don't ask me about it because I cound speak about it for days. Just pick one book from you "to read list" and start reading.
6. Watch an episode of TV series. You can start watching a new one or you can simply re-watch your favourite episodes of your favourite TV series. I just re-watch Supernatural.
7. Watch a Harry Potter movie. If you're not a fan of TV series, just watch a Harry Potter movie. I've watched them all many times and never got bored, not once. They're always interesting, even if you know all the lines.
8. Make a cup of tea. Tea is always good.
9. Paint your nails. Paint them one colour or mix it up a little by trying some nail art.
10. Doodle. Doodling is something I love doing, I even have a special notebook for doodling only. Here are some of my doodles: here, here, here and here.
11. Scroll scroll scroll. If you don't have tumblr, get a tumblr. But be careful, it is highly addictive and it can easily ruin your social life.
12. Take a nap. Just like tea, nap is always a good idea.
13. Dress up or try new make up.
14. Sing on the top of your lungs and dance like there's no tomorrow. I love singing Glee covers the most, especially "On My Own" by Rachel Berry. Sorry, neighbours.
15. Take a long relaxing bath.
16. Organise icons on your screen. My laptop screen looks just like my working space. Chaotic. So it needs organising very very often.
17. Learn how to do the "Cup Song" unless you already know it.
18. Watch YouTube videos. Find new YouTubers, watch cute cats videos or re-watch your favourites.
19. Try origami.
20. Learn how to make gifs. I've been on tumblr for almost 3 years now (WOW, I just realised!) and when I first joined I was like "wow, how do people do these amazing gifs?" and now when I log in I'm like "wow, how do people do these amazing gifs?". I think it's time to finally learn how to do them. Thank God there are many tutorials on the Internet.

These are the things I think one may do when they're bored. What are your ideas?

TUMBLR INSPIRATIONS: BEDROOM

Summer break is not over which means I haven't stopped scrolling. I think I'm gonna have to take my index finger to some kind of rehab or something soon. Anyway, this week I've found many many pictures of people's bedrooms. I looked at these pictures, then I looked around my bedroom, then I looked back at these pictures and didn't want to look at my bedroom ever again. All of these are so pretty! How do people do that? Well, I think I know the answer.

The answer is WHITE. White is in every single bedroom. I can see white furniture, white beds, white window frames, white lamps and many many other white accessories. I really love how all of these bedrooms are decorated. I think my bedroom doesn't look so impressive as I've found only one white thing in it, my laptop. I think I'm gonna have to buy some paint to make everything white and then go to Ikea and buy more white things.I wish I could just change things white with a wand. I also really love these bedrooms because of pastel accessories like mint pillows or pale pink boxes. I think they make the room look very girly. I'm by no means an expert in home decor and I have no idea if such colours are in now or not but what i know is that I love it and I want my whole future apartment to look like that.

Do you like such bedroom designs? What does your bedroom look like?
