I like experimenting with different shampoos and conditioners lately and as I've never tried anything from TRESemmé, I decided to give it a go. I bought the Deep Cleansing shampoo for all hair types and Luxurious Moisture conditioner for dry or damaged hair.

The TRESemmé Deep Cleansing shampoo contains vitamin C ans is supposed to gently remove all residues that diminish hair's shine. It really does work this way. It leaves hair very clean and fresh without any greasy residue. Its consistency is great, it's very easy to apply. The smell is nice but very gentle. That's all when it comes to upsides. Unfortunately the shampoo dries hair out and leaves it quite rough and tangled and therefore can't be used on its own. And that's when the conditioner steps in... at least it should.

The TRESemmé Luxurious Moisture conditioner contains vitamin E and is created for daily use. It's supposed to restore vibrancy and make hair soft and moisturised without weighing it down. After using the shampoo my hair feels dry but after using the conditioner it comes back to normal. That's all. It's still very hard to untangle my hair and it doesn't feel any better than after using a different kind of shampoo on its own. Although when I wake up, I notice less frizz which for my kind of hair is very good, so that's an upside.

I wouldn't say that these TRESemmé shampoo and conditioner I've used are bad but they're not good either. The shampoo cleans my hair and the conditioner moisturises it a little bit but that's all. Fortunately their price is very good so there's no hard feelings.

Have you ever tried TRESemmé products? What did you think?

  1. The deep cleansing shampoo sounds perfect for me! I hate drying my hair after a shower and feeling like my hair isn't totally clean :( grr

  2. I've never used their shampoos but I do sometimes buy their hairspray. I've never really bought into the whole "professional, affordable" thing though as I don't think I've seen any hair salons use it.

  3. I feel the same way. I used to buy these when I was a student and then just treat myself to a deep conditioning hair mask every month or so to keep my hair in good nick. But now that I am working, I prefer to go for shampoos and conditioners I'm going to see more of a result from :)

  4. I have the same problem with mine and just noticed it last week. My ends are so rough but the day I do my hair it turns out lovely. I don't know if I should change or what because it doesn't do it all the time.
