NEW IN: SLEEK I-DIVINE "GARDEN OF EDEN" PALETTE + SWATCHES

I've been wanting to get this palette since I first came across it in the Internet. Especially because I've been loving green smoky eye make up lately but also because this palette is perfect for green/hazel eyes like mine. The Sleek "Garden of Eden" palette consists of twelve mineral based eye shadows. The shades are all nature inspired, there are various purples, natural browns and earthy greens. Purple is great for making green/hazel eyes pop and look more dramatic and browns and greens will be perfect for the natural every-day look. I am super excited to try this palette!

My favourites are definitely going to be Tree Of Life, Python, Fauna and Gates of Eden. Probably because they're the most pigmented shadows in the palette. I've already noticed that Forbidden and Entwined are the least pigmented shadows so I think it will be difficult to get the colour out of them but I will try my best. I'm pretty sure I'll be using this palette (only) for the rest of the month, I'm totally in love with it!

Gates of Eden, Eve's Kiss, Paradise on Earth, Python, Forbidden, Flora

Entwined, Adam's Apple, Fig, Evergreen, Fauna, Tree of Life

Have you already got your hands on this new Sleek palette? What do you think?

MY THOUGHTS ON: RIMMEL EYE SHADOWS

Some time ago I found those small Rimmel eye shadows palettes on a really big sale and just had to get some. I got two Glam'Eyes Quad Eyeshadows in Thrill Seeker (top left) and Green Sapphire (top right). I also got one of those Union Jack lookalikes Glam'Eyes HD Eyeshadows. I didn't went for the classical Union Jack shades though. I chose the black and white version called Black Cab.

The best thing about these Rimmel eye shadows is the packaging. They are perfect for travelling as they're quite small and handy. Because of the square shape they're also very easy to store. What I also really like about them is that they are very easy to use, especially when you're in a rush and don't have time to pick from a wide range of different shades. You just pick one of these and viola, the idea for a perfect eye make-up magically appears!

Those shadows unfortunately aren't very pigmented, especially when it comes to lighter shades like the light pink champagne in Green Sapphire or light grey in Thrill Seeker. The pigmentation of darker shades is better but they still need to be built up. They last about 8 hours without creasing which for me, an owner of oily eyelids, is very good. I have only tried them with eye shadow primer though therefore I can't really justify the lasting power without using the primer first. The applicator provided with the palette is impossible for me to use. I totally prefer using my own brushes. with them the shadows are easy to blend. The next good thing about them is the price but only because I got them on sale. If I paid the full price, I think I would be disappointed.

As for the shades my favourites are definitely the greens, especially the light khaki and shimmery sapphire in Green Saphire. They are perfect for creating the green smoky eye which I have been really loving lately. I also love using the Black Cab's shimmery white and Green Sapphire's pink champagne as highlighters.

Have you ever tried Rimmel eyeshadows? What did you think?

AN EARLY SISTER BIRTHDAY GIFT

You should know that my Birthday is not even close yet, it's in January. But I already got my first birthday gift! Why? Because this year I'm not going to be home for that special day and as my sister came to visit me in Ireland, she brought the gift with herself. How thoughtful of her, isn't it? Well, I gotta say, she gave me the best gift ever, something I definitely haven't expected... well, at least one part of it.

We're both obsessed with make-up and other beauty stuff so I was expecting to get something beauty related. And as she recently got herself Inglot's Freedom System, I might have also expecting getting some new eyeshadows. What I didn't expect were the shades! I just love them! They look amazing together and on its own! I got them in shades: 419, which is a goldish dark green (my favourite), 148, which is gold and 118 which is a light and a little bit pink gold shade,  perfect for the inner corner of the eye. All of them are shimmery which makes me love them even more. These three shades are a perfect match for me, so thank you, sister!

Now here comes the unexpected part: The real Techniques blush brush. I've been talking about this brush for ages and I think that's where my sister got the idea from. I've already tried this and it definitely is the best brush I have ever used. Not even the best blush brush, the best no-matter-the-purpose brush. I definitely need to try more real Techniques brushes.  The next one I want is the Expert Face brush (take a hint, sister).
