LONG LASTING MAKE UP? YES, PLEASE!

For me, the most important feature of the product is its longevity. I've been trying many product, always with the purpose to find the most lasting ones. And I finally found some that I will use as long as possible!

When it comes to face products the most durable foundation I have ever used is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. No wonder why this is my forever favourite one. I will be repurchasing it as log as it stays on drugstore shelves. It says on my skin for a whole day without any movements. As for the powder, the most durable one I've used is a Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. I haven't tried many powders because I've found this one quite soon. And I'm glad I did because this product is a miracle. It doesn't of course stay put all day but in the end of a day which powder does. It stays on my face for about 4-5 hours and that really is long for an oily/combination skin like mine. The most durable blush I've tried is the Sleek blush. It's not only highly pigmented and easy to apply but very long lasting. It stays on my cheeks for about 8 hours. I definitely need to get more shades!

Talking about eye products I've picked three: an eye liner, a cream shadow and powder shadows. As for the eye liner, the one I find the most durable is L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim. I remember wearing it once for a trip on a rainy day. I've been walking in the rain for a whole day, soaking wet and when I came back home, the liner was exactly where I'd applied it. I've never been more surprised in my whole life. My favourite long lasting cream shadow is the Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow. I wouldn't say it stays put for 24 hours. It tends to crease after about 8-9 hours but it still is amazing for a person with oily eye lids like mine. As for powder shadows the most durable ones I own are Inglot eyeshadows. They stay on my eye lids for a whole day without creasing. They're also super pigmented and the colour range is amazing. I could rave about them for days!

Now onto the last part which is lip products. The first one is Collection Colour Pout Lip Stain. I became absolutely sure this is the most long lasting lip product I own when I woke up with it on my lips on New Year's Day, after wearing it for the whole evening and night of New Year's Eve. Imagine my surprise! The next lip product I find extremely durable is Barry M Lip Paint in Touch of Magic aka the green lipstick. It's like it changes the colour of my lips for about 7-8 hours. I'm so glad Barry M collaborated with Hogwarts to create this magical lipstick!

LIFE IN PICTURES: I'VE CUT MY HAIR!

Yes, I did it. I cut my hair. I no longer have ombre hair which makes me a bit sad but knowing me it'll probably be back when my hair grows back a little. I wasn't very happy about cutting my hair in the first place, I liked them long but the bad condition of my hair made me do it. And now I'm glad it did as I absolutely love my new haircut!

As for the non-hairy part of my life, I came back home from Ireland last week so I've been spending a massive amount of time at the airport which wasn't that bad since I had Milky Way Magic Stars with me, there has also been some flying and reuniting with family and friends. I've also bought some new make-up treats which involved the most beautiful Sleek palette (more here) and my first ever MAC lipstick! In my free time I've watched a lot of Gilmore Girls aka the best TV show ever episodes and spent far too much time playing Flappy Bird. I swear, this game is the most annoying and addictive game I've ever played. Also, even though it's already February, this week I've seen snow for the first time this year (which lasted only one day but it was there, I promise)!

NEW IN: SLEEK I-DIVINE "GARDEN OF EDEN" PALETTE + SWATCHES

I've been wanting to get this palette since I first came across it in the Internet. Especially because I've been loving green smoky eye make up lately but also because this palette is perfect for green/hazel eyes like mine. The Sleek "Garden of Eden" palette consists of twelve mineral based eye shadows. The shades are all nature inspired, there are various purples, natural browns and earthy greens. Purple is great for making green/hazel eyes pop and look more dramatic and browns and greens will be perfect for the natural every-day look. I am super excited to try this palette!

My favourites are definitely going to be Tree Of Life, Python, Fauna and Gates of Eden. Probably because they're the most pigmented shadows in the palette. I've already noticed that Forbidden and Entwined are the least pigmented shadows so I think it will be difficult to get the colour out of them but I will try my best. I'm pretty sure I'll be using this palette (only) for the rest of the month, I'm totally in love with it!

Gates of Eden, Eve's Kiss, Paradise on Earth, Python, Forbidden, Flora

Entwined, Adam's Apple, Fig, Evergreen, Fauna, Tree of Life

Have you already got your hands on this new Sleek palette? What do you think?

PERFECT EYE SHADOW PALETTES WISHLIST

I've been really loving using neutral eye shadows lately. Actually "lately" is not really a good word here, I've been using them since I learned what eye shadows are and how to use them. I don't really like colourful or full of glitter eye make-up although I have recently started using some more colours such as green or purple. Anyway, browns and grays are and will always be the shades I feel more comfortable with. I've done some research and found seven perfect neutral eye shadow palettes.

The Balm NUDE ‘tude Eyeshadow Palette: The palette is filled with 12 amazing neutral shadows. There are some mattes as well as shimmers and highlighters. What I really like about it is that it has some bold shadows that will help create a definite eye make up.

Clarins The Essentials Eye Make-up Palette Collector Edition: Unfortunately it was only a limited edition and I don't know if it might still be found in the shops but oh boy, this palette is amazing. It consists of 10 eye shadows, all beige, brown or taupe. It's the perfect palette for people who like to stay neutral (like me!).

TOO FACED The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette: Another palette filled with neutral mattes and shimmers but what's even better about this one is that all eye shadows are scented with real chocolate. I've never known who needs their make-up to be scented like food until I tried the Bourjois bronzing powder. That's when I understood.

BOBBI BROWN Old Hollywood Eye Palette: This palette consists of nine neutral eye shadows but what's great about it is that it's filled with warm and cold shadows. It can be used to create a brown warm smoky eye or a classic black smoky eye.

SEPHORA COLLECTION Event Entry Palette: This palette for me is a cheaper version of the Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood palette. It also consists of warm and cold neutral shadows. It's also in a pocket size so that it can be used everywhere. Perfect for travelling!

Sleek Make Up Garden of Eden Palette: Now this is the palette I know I'm going to buy very very soon. It's perfect for the green/hazel colour of my eyes. It has some greens, browns and purples. Still neutral but a little bit out of my comfort zone, exactly what I need!

SMASHBOX Full Exposure Palette: The last palette I would totally love to magically appear in my make-up collection is the Full Exposure Palette by Smashbox. It's also filled with warm and cold shimmers and mattes. What I really like about this one is how organised it is. Shimmers on top, mattes on the bottom. I think this might be my inner OCD speaking here...

Do you own any of these palettes? What do you think about it?

2013 BEAUTY FAVOURITES

I know this might be a little late but again, I blame exam session for that. Now that it's finally over I can take good care of my blog so I thought that posting my 2013 beauty favourites would be a great idea. I've only just stepped into the beauty blogging world last year but I already have some favourite products I know I'm going to use for a very very long time.

The first product is my favourite ever foundation which is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. It truly is the best foundation I have ever used and I'm going to repurchase it till the day that I die. It looks amazing on my skin, especially during summertime. It gives it that nice healthy glow and a great coverage at the same time. I think it also might be one of the most loved drugstore foundations in the blogging world.

The next product is the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, again, probably one of the most loved powders in the world. I already have repurchased it twice and I don't think I'm ever going to stop. I always buy the 03 Peach Glow as besides powdering and setting my make up it also gives my skin a healthy shade.

The next product I've been really loving in 2013 is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I bought it not more than 3 months ago and fell in love with it instantly. It's perfect for covering blemishes as much as it's perfect for dark circled under eyes. It stays put for a really long time and doesn't cake. It truly is a perfect concealer!

As for lip products my definite favourite last year was Barry M Lip Paint in Touch of Magic. I've always known that magic comes with a price but what I didn't know is that it's only £4.49. And I'm serious, this product is magical. I've already raved about it in my November Favourites and I'm definitely going to rave about it in the future. Be prepared.

Last two products are very connected to each other as I've been using them together for last 3 months. They are the Real Techniques Blush Brush and the Sleek Blush in shade Coral. I got the RT blush for my Brithday which was not that long ago and it became my favourite brush in my collection within 2 second. As for the blush, even though I've totally fallen into Topshop cream blushes in the end of the year I still consider this Sleek blush as my favourite in 2013. Its quality and pigmentation is amazing and the shade suits me very well, not too pink, not too orange, just perfect. I wrote about it in my review which you can read here.

AUGUST FAVOURITES

I honestly can't believe that August is already gone. I feel like 2013 started yesterday so imagine how surprised I was when I realised it's September. The time goes by too fast, that's for damn sure. Anyway, the end of month always means one thing in blogging world: monthly favourites. And I also made my version of this blogging craze, so here it goes: my August favourites:

Let's start with nail products. This month I've been really loving two nail polishes. Both of them are Essie nail polishes, the first one is called "A crewed interest" which is a light, pastel peach colour. The second one is called "Navigate her" and is a pale green shade. Other than nail polishes I've been loving Sally Hansen Problem Cuticle Remover. It's very easy to use and really effective!

The next thing I've been loving in August is the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. For the whole July and a half of August I've been using Astor Skin Match Care BB Cream (which I loved! review here) every single day. But the tube is empty now so instead of repurchasing it I came back to one of my favourite foundations. It really is amazing! It leaves the skin smooth, soft and flawless!

As for the blush, this month I've been really loving my new one, which is a Sleek blush in shade "Coral". It's really amazing and I really love it! I use it every single day! I just love how natural it looks on my cheeks. If you want to read a little bit more about it, I wrote a review which you can read by clicking here.

Maybelline Color Whisper in "Pink Possibilities" is definitely the product I've been loving the most in August. It's such a good formula, it feels amazing on lips and gives a nice sheer colour. I love such lipsticks! I definitely need to get other shades.

That is all as far as cosmetics are concerned but I've also been loving other things. I've been obsessed with The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones this month. First, I read the book which was totally amazing (I read it in four days which is VERY fast for me, believe me) and then I went to see the movie with my sister. The movie wasn't as good as the book, but it was still awesome. As for music, I've been loving "Heart by Heart" by Demi Lovato... which is a soundtrack to "City Of Bones". Oh well...

The last thing I've been really (I mean.. REALLY) obsessed in August is a little game called Wordament. Ever played it? It is a multiplayer online word game in which you are supposed to create as many words as you can from the board of 16 letters during 2 minutes. If you've never played it, please do. But I warn you, it is highly addictive!

What have you been loving in August?

MY THOUGHTS ON: SLEEK BLUSH IN "CORAL 933"

Have you ever tried a Sleek blush? If not, then you definitely need to do that as soon as possible. They are amazing. Sleek blush in "Coral" is actually the first (and definitely not the last) Sleek brush I have ever used. I bought it about two weeks ago but I decided to already write a review because I don't think it will let me down...ever.

"Coral 933" is a deep coral/peach shade which I think fits my skintone perfectly. Actually it probably fits most of skintones as it looks very natural on the skin. It is very easy to apply and the formula is very smooth. I really like the packaging, it's very simple, fits everywhere and has a big mirror inside. As for the wear, it lasts about 6 hours which for me is perfectly fine. As for the pigmentation I wish it was a little bit more pigmented. Before buying this blush I used Sephora blush almost every day and it was far more pigmented. But as for the price ($5.99) it is totally forgivable. The bright side of this is that you can never (well...almost never) overdose.

Have you ever tried Sleek blushes? What are your favorutie shades?

MY THOUGHTS ON: SLEEK FACE CONTOUR KIT

Sleek is for sure one of my favourite brands ever. Their products are high quality comparing to other drugstore brands and they are very affordable.

The first Sleek product that I ever bought is this Face Contour Kit, the light version. It contains of a matte pressed bronzer and a shimmery highlighter.  The contour shade is perfect for my skin tone and that's why I really enjoy using it. It isn't orange, it's a warm brown tone with a matt finish. The highlighter has a nice pearl shimmer which gives the skin a pretty summer glow. I think it looks best when applied across the top of my cheek bone but I also like to use it under the arch of my brow.

For me this Face Contour Kit is a must have and I fill definitely repurchase it. Have you ever tried this? What are your thoughts on this product?
