FOCUS ON: CHRISTMAS DINNER

I can't believe Christmas Eve is exactly one week away! I mean... December has started about three days ago, hasn't it? No? Well... Time goes by far too fast, that's for damn sure. Anyway, I think Christmas is a very special time which you spend with your family (or not, like me this year) celebrating. It's also a great possibility to dress nice. I love dressing up for this occasion! In my country the most important meal is in the evening of Christmas Eve so I've searched the most amazing thing in the world called the Internet and found what I could wear during this special meal.

I really love dresses and I think a chic and classic dress would be the first choice for me. My favourite is the Kitana Baroque Mesh Panel Velvet Skater Dress found on Missguided. Velvet fabric is so in this season and the baroque mesh panel makes this dress look very elegant. I think it's perfect for the occasion. As for dresses I also chose: Cameo Rose Dark Red Necklace Trim Skater Dress and Belle Heart Black Baroque Print Contrast Skater Dress.

If not a dress I would choose high waisted shorts (or a skort) as I'm really into them lately. The skort I chose and absolutely love is from Miss Selfridge and is called Black Ponte Skort. I also really like Miss Selfridge's Petites Black Jacquard Shorts.

During the research I came across two pieces that I'm totally in love with but not really sure what to pair them with. The first one is the Sequin Open Back Crop Top from Topshop. It would probably look best with a classic black high-waisted skirt, a skater or a pencil one. The other thing is a Rosie Cracked Foil Geometric Mini Skirt. I guess I'm really into gold this year!

These are my choices for my special Christmas Eve supper. What would you wear for yours?

FOCUS ON: HALLOWEEN

I know it's not Halloween yet but it's already round the corner and we can definitely see that in all stores that are full of creepiness and spookiness. As I've seen a lot of Halloween clothes and accessories in shops lately, I thought it would be a good idea to show you some. I've never really celebrated Halloween as in my native country it's not very common so now as I'm in a place where people actually celebrate it, I'm very (probably too much) excited for the big day to come!

Here are some Halloween clothes and accessories that I like:

Will you be picking some Halloween essentials this year?

FOCUS ON: BLACK AND WHITE STRIPES

The next "focus on" is all about stripes. And not just any stripes but black and white stripes. I totally love such pattern and I think it looks great on elegant and casual clothes. So as always I went for a little hunt to find the best black and white striped pieces.

Lenor Striped Oversized Asymmetric Blouse - I love oversized clothes, they make me feel unbelievably comfortable and even though they don't always look great on me, I just can't stop loving them. I actually own very similar shirt but instead of black, mine has navy stripes and is slightly less oversized. I think I would definitely love this Misguided one more!

Motel Kadie High Waist Skater Skirt in Black and White Stripe - I've probably mentioned this thousand times but I'm gonna say it one more time: I love skater skirts. And the one I've chosen here looks amazing with the striped print. It's probably a little bit too short for me but I'd just add a pair of black thighs and I'd be good to go.

Motel Penny Smock Dress With Bold Stripe - Now that is what I call a perfect dress. It has a great smock shape which I think looks good on everyone. I really love how horizontal and vertical stripes are combined, it makes the dress look far more interesting.

Motel Stripe Pleated Skirt - This skirt is probably my favourite thing in this post. Isn't it amazing? Even more than the striped print I love its pleated shape and those cute little buttons on the front. PERFECT

Karen Millen Soft Graphic Stripe Sleeveless Shirt - Here's another black and white (more like gray and white actually) striped shirt which I really like. I like its dipped hem and the black collar. It also has a very interesting back (you can see it on asos.com by clicking the name of the shirt above).

Motel Mizzy Denim Hot Pants in Black Pinstripe - This is my second favourite piece here. I love how high waisted shorts look like and I think these stripes make a person look slimmer. I also really love the fact that black stripes are way wider than white stripes as I'm more of a black person than white person when it comes to clothes.

Do you like wearing black and white stripes? Which one of these is your favourite?

FOCUS ON: SCALLOP

Another week, another obsession. This week, it is scallop. Scallop edges, scallop hems and scallop collars. I just love how girly and pretty it looks like. I especially like the scallop hems when it comes to shorts. It just makes them look three times more cute than what they would look like with a regular hem.

Of course, I wouldn't be myself if I didn't look for prefect scallop pieces on asos.com. And I did find some amazing clothes. The first one is Boutique By Jaeger Shirt With Scalloped Edge Collar. It's so out of my price range (it costs £120.00) but I just had to include it here. The navy scallop collar looks perfect with the loose pink shirt. Next thing I chose from asos is the Max C Dress With Scallop Collar (unfortunately out of stock, sorry). It's such an amazing evening mini dress in a great bright colour. I'm totally in love with it. As for the shorts, I picked Shorts in Linen with Scallop Hem in colour Black. They're just classic black shorts which I think are perfect for the summer as the fabric they're made of is very loose and breathable.

Speaking of shorts, I also chose Frankie Scalloped Hem Embellished Shorts which can be found on boohoo.com. I think they are my favourite thing in this post. The embellishment combined with the scallop hem creates a pure perfection. The last shorts in this post come from Miss Selfridge and are called High Waist Scallop Hem Shorts. I love the high-waisted shape and the colour of the denim but what I love the most is embroidery detail on the scallop hem. So so pretty. I also really love the Posey Floral Cropped Tee from lashes Of London. I really like crop tops even though I don't wear them that much, I like them more on other people as my body shape isn't the best for this shape of tops. But these scallop edges on sleeves really make me want to buy it!

What do you think of scallop collars, edges or hems?

FOCUS ON: POLKA DOTS

I've mentioned in my Wednesday's post that I'm in love with polka dots print lately. And I wasn't lying. I don't know why but every time I see something polka dotted my heart skips a bit. *singing like Olly Murs*

Polka dot print can make anything look cute. I mean, just look at all the clothes above. All of them are cute! Polka dots even changed a normal black journal into something cute.
Lately I've realised I don't wear enough cute clothes like girly dresses, tops with little collars or skater skirts. And when you add polka dots to these, awesomeness is created.

My favourite polka dots printed clothes (and a journal) found on the Internet:

What do you think of polka dots print? Which piece of the above is your favourite?

FOCUS ON: CAMI TOPS

I know summer is nearly over but we still have couple of days (maybe even weeks), right? At least I hope so. I think cami tops have been a real blast this year and I am totally not surprised. They are perfect for the summer! They're weightless, a little baggy, look good with everything and on anyone.
I love how differentiated can cami tops be. Some of them are normal length, some are cropped, some are just black and white, some are neon, some are plain and some are printed, some are one layered, some are two layered, some are see through, some are not. Some of them even have a little peplum, mesh panel, frill or cute little buttons.
They look great with jeans shorts, three quarters length trousers, long trousers and even with skirts, even high-waisted skirts as such tops can easily be tucked into them. I just can't stop raving about how awesome they are but I think I'm gonna have to as I don't want to bore you to death.

What do you think of cami tops? Have you been rocking them this summer?

FOCUS ON: WET LOOK

Some time ago I made a post about Asos sale in which I included one wet look skirt. Since then I've been noticing wet look clothes far more often and kind of fell in love with them. The wet look fabric makes clothes look more interesting, I think. It looks almost like a leather but is more subtle and light. So I decided to make a little post about it and that's why I've chosen my top five wet look clothes to show you.

1. Gianina Contrast Leather Textured Dress, a skater black dress in a classic shape with a textured knit bodice and wet look skirt. I think it's perfect for a night out with friends. The wet look gives the dress a little more glamour rock style.

2. Taiga Wet Look Panel Tee, a t-shirt with black and wet look stripes. A tee like that combined with jeans shorts gives the outfit more grunge look.

3. Lakota Leather Front Tee, casual in the back, party in the front. A t-shirt with wet look front which changes a normal black t-shirt into something more chic, something I would wear for a night out.

4. Skater Skirt In Wet Look, a skirt that proves that wet look doesn't always have to be black. This red skater skirt together with black leather jacket and ankle boots make the perfect outfit.

5. Henah Leather Detail Top, a casual top featuring wet look detail to sleeves and pocket. I think such top can really make a normal, casual outfit look more rock-ish and glam.

These are only five things I chose for this post but I've found many many more in the Internet (thank you Internet and online shops for existing) so if you like this trend just type "wet look" wherever you are and they'll be there. So what do you think of this "wet look" trend?

FOCUS ON: WHITE

Some time ago I made a post called Focus On: Mint as for me mint is one of the most summery colours out there. Another summer color, especially this year, is white. So I decided to go through some online shops and gather white stuff that I love. And that's how the post Focus On: White was created.

Let's start with dresses, shall we?. For this post I've chosen three white dresses. One of them is from Miss Selfringe and it's called INSPIRED BY EMBELLISHED VEST. As for the dresses, I think it's my favourite of the three because it has an amazing gold embellishment in the front. I've found AGENDA WHITE LEATHER-LOOK TRIM SKATER DRESS in New Look. I chose it as most white clothes tent to be very delicate and weightless but here the black "leather" trim makes it look a little bit more grungy. This is a dress I would wear on a night out. The last dress is also from New Look and this one is a perfect example of delicate and weightless dress. RUBEE B WHITE BRODERIE ANGLAISE ZIP PRINT SKATER DRESS (Wow, that's a long name!) is perfect for wearing to the beach or for a walk in the sun.

Just like dresses, I've chosen three tops. The first one is from River Island and is called WHITE CUT OUT SHOULDER PEPLUM TOP. I gotta say, I love everything with peplum so when I saw this top I instantly fell in love with it. The shoulder cut-outs made me love it even more if that's even possible. It's perfect! CREAM CREPE STRAPPY VEST is something that should be found in every girl's wardrobe. It's a classic white top that can be worn with many many things. It's very simple and chic. BLUE DENIM YOKE CHIFFON SLEEVELESS SHIRT is something I've been wanting to have for quite a long time now. I really love long sleeveless shirts and the denim part makes it look far more interesting.

While going through many pages I've noticed that a lot of white clothes are made of lace or broderie. These CAMEO ROSE WHITE BRODERIE SHORTS are the perfect example of this. They look very light and summery but what really got me in these is the scallop edge.

The last piece of clothing I've chosen for this post is the HANDKERCHIEF HEM SKIRT found in Pull & Bear. As you can see because of the "LOVE THIS" button, lately I've been obsessed with this shape of a skirt, and so has the blogging community apparently as I've seen many people rave about it. I think it looks very flattering, especially with tanned skin. For me, it's a must have!

The last thing on this list is a BARRY M NAIL POLISH IN MATTE WHITE, another thing I've been wanting for a long time. I love white nails, even more now in the summertime, but I think it's really hard to find a good white nail polish with a good coverage that will last long. I think that this nail polish would meet my expectations!

Do you wear white clothes a lot? Which one of these is your favourite?

FOCUS ON: METALLIC

Guys, call the cops. I have another obsession. After finding THIS skirt on Asos' sale lately I have completely fallen in love with metallic fabric, metallic details and metallic accessories. And as you can probably imagine, I couldn't help but to make a blog post about it... So here it goes!

Let's start with my favourite piece. You can easily find it on the picture above as I marked it with big pink "love this" button... because I love it! It is a Gold Jacquard Floral Dress which I found on Miss Selfridge. It is made from a metallised fibre and has a golden finish which I think makes it look very lush.

Next on the list are the most beautiful sandals I have seen this summer. These Hardy Pink Metal Tube Flat Sandals from New Look are so gorgeous that I can't stop staring! The link will take you to asos.com as I couldn't find pink ones on New Look's website, but I did find them in white and black. Still, I think they look the best in pink! Another pair of sandals I chose also comes from asos. com. I picked these Pieces Cecilia Silver Leather Flat Sandals because, of course they are silver, but also because of their shape, I especially love the ankle strap!

For jewellery I chose three Metallic Stacked Cross Rings which I found in New Look's online store. I love these because they all have the same shape but different colours, still all of them are metallic. I think they would look great separately and even better together!

Talking about accessories I also chose two bags which come from Mango. The Leather Tote with Metallic Panel is definitely the one I like the most! I really love black bags and this metallic panel would be perfect for mixing things up a little bit!

Apart from the American Retro Metallic Skater Skirt which I mentioned in my "Asos Sale" post (I still can't get over about how amazing it is!) I also chose a Skater Skirt with Metallic Hem and I am really considering buying it, especially now when it's on sale and costs only £15,00. BARGAIN!

The last metallic thing I found (and liked) is this Vest with Dip Hem in Metallic! I totally adore the shape of it and the fact that even though it doesn't look like at the first sight, it is quite see through. I have no idea how they did that but it looks absolutely stunning! And it's also on sale, now only for £8.00!

Do you like metallic fabrics, details or accessories?

FOCUS ON: MINT

It is no secret that I love mint, always have and always will. I especially love it in the summer as it looks amazing with a tanned skin or mixed with other pastel colours. I think the time is just perfect for making this post! So here it it: the most mint post you've ever seen!

What an endlessly-in-love-with-mint girl needs in her wardrobe are mint skinny jeans. I have very similar jeans to these presented above and I love wearing them in the summer with flip flops and oversized t-shirts. The ones I've chosen for this post are MINT GREEN SUPER SKINNY JEAN from Miss Selfridge.

As it is all about summer a skirt can also be a good idea. The one I've chosen is from Top Shop and it's called  MINT BABY CORD SKATER SKIRT. What I love about this skirt (besides the colour) is the shape. As you might have noticed I can't help but put skater skirts into ever single post. Oh well...

I think my favourite mint thing ever is a nail polish. Mint is my second favourite colour to put on my nails, right after my forever favourite pale pink. Mint nail polish that I love the most is Inglot's 969. It will always have a special place in my heart.

The next thing on the list is a BLOUSE WITH DOUBLE COLLAR IN STRIPE PRINT found on asos.com. It's perfect to tuck into a skirt or just wear with skinny jeans. I think what really got me in it is the double collar, doesn't it look cute?

Speaking about cute.. just look at this little LACE MINT SOCK! Isn't it just the cutest thing ever? Of course you would need two of them to look decent but it is so amazing that if I had one, I would wear one. This one comes from Dorothy Perkins.

The next thing is something my sister owns and for now all I can do is to be jealous. The CANVAS AUTHENTIC by VANS are one of the pretties shoes I have ever seen. I own black Vans shoes and I chose them because I thought  they'd be more practical (and they probably are) but next time I'm gonna go nuts and buy them in mint! (don't tell my sister!)

The last thing is the AQUA LACE PEPLUM BUTTON THROUGH BLOUSE which I found on fashionunion.com. It comes in three colours but only mint looks good. I love the lace detail it has on the collar and placket. I also really love the shape of this blouse but most of all, of course, I love the fact that it's mint!

Do you like wearing mint clothes or painting your nails this colour?
