SONGS OF THE WEEK

This week I've been going through my old music and found some perfect songs I'd totally forgotten about. I absolutely love them now and can't stop listening to them. The first one is "Brighter Than Sunshine" by Aqualung. You probably know this song as it is pretty popular but give it a listen anyway. The lyrics is just amazing. 

The next song is "Turn Me On" by Norah Jones, a song I've been obsessed with a couple of years ago. I still love it and know all the words. I could listen to Norah's voice in this song for days!

The last favourite song this week is "Love Don't Die" by The Fray. This one is not a song I've known before as I've heard it for the first time in one of The Vampire Diaries episodes about two week ago and totally fell in love with it! It's so happy and makes me want to dance! This is exactly the kind of music I like!

SONG OF THE WEEK: 'WILD HEART" BY THE VAMPS FEAT. PIXIE LOTT

Since the day I saw these boys live I've been totally in love with them. The Vamps haven't even released an album yet and they're already big in the UK. I can't wait to see where their career goes in the future. Couple of days ago they released a new version of their second single Wild Heart, the version featuring an amazing singer Pixie Lott. Since the moment I heard that version for the first time I couldn't get it out of my head, and I'm not even complaining. I've loved Wild Heart earlier but the voice of Pixie makes it sound even better. Have a listen!

SONG OF THE WEEK: "BATTLEFIELD" BY LEA MICHELE

Some of you may know that Lea Michele, who plays Rachel, my favourite character in one of my favourite TV series "Glee", is releasing an album called "Louder" this year. So far she's released two of her songs, Cannonball and Battlefield.

Battlefield is a sad ballad about the end of a relationship. I'm totally in love with it! I honestly can't stop listening. Her voice is so amazing and so addictive. I'm very proud of Lea, I think the album is going to be big! This is exactly what I've expected to hear from her. I've shown this song to couple of my friends and they've all loved it, so I'm pretty sure you will too!

SONG OF THE WEEK: "PIANO MAN" BY BILLY JOEL

I've been crazy about old songs for quite a long time now but last week the real craziness happened. I've found Billy Joel. I feel so ashamed and sad that I didn't know his music before but I am so glad I know it now. I found out about him because of Glee. If you watch Glee, you know that one of their latest episode which was called "Movin' Out" was a tribute to Billy Joel and during the whole episode only his songs were played. I didn't know what to expect but I fell in love with all of the songs and now I can;t stop listening to them!

My favourite Billy Joel's song is called "Piano Man". The song is written from the point of view of a man playing the piano in a bar. The lyrics are amazing! Just have a listen:

SONG OF THE WEEK: MCFLY - LOVE IS ON THE RADIO

Today I woke up to the biggest surprise ever - new McFly music video. I have to admit, I didn't expect it at all! I've known the song for quite a long time (I saw them play it live in September) and even though I really love the song, the music video is sooooo much better. It really shows true McFly boys. Whether you like McFly or not, whether you know them or not, watch it! You won't regret. It's so funny! (Oh and yes, Dougie's licking the hammer Miley style.)

SONG OF THE WEEK: "WRECKING BALL" BY MILEY CYRUS

I know "Miley Cyrus" is a little bit controversial topic lately so please don't judge me when I say I'm her fan. I've always loved Miley's music. Not every single song of course, but most of them, yes. And Hannah Montana! Come on! How can anybody not love Hannah Montana?

Miley has a new album called "Bangerz" coming up very soon, on October 4, to be precise and she has just released second single from it. The first one was "We Can't Stop" which you all probably know (If not, go listen to it! It's great! Just don't watch the music video and everything will be fine.). The second one is called "Wrecking Ball". I have to admit I actually missed the release of it and I guess it doesn't make me the best fan of the year... Anyway, this song was definitely my "song of the week" as I've been listening to it all the time. If you haven't heard it yet, have a listen:

SONG OF THE WEEK

Have you already heard about the new sensational British band called The Vamps? I have and I even saw them life as they were supporting my favourite band during their whole UK tour. Unfortunately back then I didn't even knew names of these four young guys. But that night, when I saw and heard them live, everything changed. Now I'm definitely a fan of The Vamps, especially Connor *wink*.

This week they released their first proper music video to their first official single "Can We Dance" and this song has definitely been stuck in my head all the time. It's such a positive song and the word "dance" has its place in the title for a reason. I dance to it and I dance a lot. The music video is great, I've watched it couple of times and each time during the last scene I laughed. I really think (and hope) they're going to be the next big thing very soon!
